We - my improv club and me - had our first actual performance on Friday. We started off playing Scenes from a Hat and NO ONE FREAKING LAUGHED.
NO ONE. NOT EVEN A TITTER.
Which makes me sad.
I had really liked doing improv and I thought it would be a "little joy" - you know, the one that you can casually bring up at a get-together and everyone bonds over.
When I tried to tell my parents, they just said "Well, aren't you happy that you turned in that project that was due that day? That's what really matters!"
You don't get it, do you? I don't want my high school experience to be defined in a report card. I'm not going to laugh at the memor
